Often, during orthodontic treatment, discipline plays a vital role in achieving successful results by being compliant with oral appliances and maintaining good oral hygiene. Being a mother of two boys has helped me to understand the importance of coaching a child through this process, to encourage them, in a positive and caring environment.”
Professional Background
Dr. Kim grew up locally in Edmonds, where she attended Meadowdale High School. During her high school years, she was an active member of the swim and tennis teams. She also spent her time helping her parents run their local Dry Cleaner, gaining a strong work ethic and a sense of community service.
Dr. Kim pursued higher education at the University of Washington, where she earned both her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and her Doctor of Dental Surgery degrees. Excelling in her studies, she graduated among the top of her class in dental school. Her passion for orthodontics led her to continue her education at St. Louis University, where she completed her orthodontic residency program.
Since 2009, Dr. Kim has been serving the Edmonds community as a skilled orthodontist. She is committed to staying at the forefront of orthodontic advancements and is an Invisalign Preferred Provider, offering her patients the latest and most effective treatment options.
Personal Life
When she’s not creating beautiful smiles, Dr. Kim enjoys an active lifestyle. She loves hiking, bicycling, and taking daily walks with her dog, Koda. As a mother of two teenage boys, she understands the unique challenges and rewards of parenting, which enhances her ability to relate to her younger patients and their families.
